The world has full of challenges. These challenges can retain our true color or true behaviors. All people in this world have both good and bad behavior. These behaviors can make us accomplish the task that we may encounter. As we accomplish a task using these behaviors, it will leave evidences on how we made it. If a person uses his good behavior in making a task, it will live talks which are good to hear after he/she finishes solving his/her problem. One example of this is found in the story Thank You Ma’am, in which Mrs. Jones accomplished her task in teaching Roger from wrong to right. A person will be easily known that he/she uses his/her bad behavior in solving his/her problems, if there are some bad talks about  what he/she did to solve his problems. An example of this is when Roger tried to snatch Mrs. Jones’s purse.
We all know that the story Thank You Ma’am was a story about a woman who brings a large purse and a boy who wants to snatch the large purse but he failed to do it. It is a story that tells us to trust people even if we don’t know them yet. Because in the story, Mrs. Jones trusted Roger and help him about his problem even if Mrs. Jones didn’t know him yet.
As I read the story, I remember some events that happened in my life. That event was when a man trusted me to take care of his son though even we don’t know each other. He wanted to return back to the city to get his sew because he was afraid to lose it. So I accepted his task to take care of his son because I know that he needs my help. I took good care of his son: After he came back from the city, I was happy at that time because I was able to help a person to solve his problem in a simple way.
As I finished reading the story, it came to my mind that Mrs. Jones was not right in trusting Roger because she didn’t know him yet and she was not sure that the money that she gave to Roger would really be used to buy the blue suede shoes. And also, she should not tell Roger that he will just approach a person when he needs something because all people have different behavior and it is not easy to find people same with her.
The story Thank You Ma’am gives a lesson to us. That lesson was to be good and have trust to strangers. It also tells us to forgive and not to guilt person about there mistakes to us. But in my opinion, it is not right to trust strangers immediately because we don’t know if that person has good or bad plan to us. But sometimes we trust strangers because he or she needs our help like in the situation of the story Thank You Ma’am, in which Mrs. Jones helped the boy, even if at first Roger wanted to steal her purse.
This story is a good choice for me to read because I’ve learned lessons out from it and I like it. I was delighted of some events in the story because like Mrs. Jones I also like to help other people.
The situation of the story Thank You Ma’am may also happen into a real life situation. We don’t know if this circumstance may be happening today, tomorrow, or another day. If this situation will happen in your life what should you do? Are you going to copy Mrs. Jones idea in resolving the situation?
